2. What HumanInbox does

HumanInbox is an AI-powered email assistant that connects to your Gmail account and communicates with you via WhatsApp or Telegram. It summarises your emails, drafts replies on your behalf, and sends them through your Gmail account when you approve.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Account information

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by Stripe). We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

3.2 Gmail data

We access your Gmail account via Google OAuth 2.0. We request permission to read your emails and send emails on your behalf. We process email content in real-time to generate summaries and draft replies. We do not permanently store the content of your emails. Email metadata (sender, subject, timestamps) may be temporarily cached to provide follow-up tracking and prioritisation features.

3.3 Messaging data

Messages exchanged between you and HumanInbox on WhatsApp or Telegram are processed to understand your instructions. We may retain conversation logs for a limited period to improve service quality and debug issues.

3.4 Usage data

We collect standard analytics data including pages visited, feature usage, browser type, and IP address to improve our product.

  • To provide the HumanInbox service: reading, summarising, and drafting email replies
  • To send follow-up reminders and alerts via WhatsApp or Telegram
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To improve our AI models and service quality
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests
  • To comply with legal obligations

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Google — via OAuth to access your Gmail (governed by Google's API Services User Data Policy)
  • WhatsApp / Telegram — to deliver messages to you through their platforms
  • Stripe — to process payments securely
  • AI providers — we may use third-party AI services (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) to process email content. Data is sent via encrypted connections and is not used to train their models
  • Infrastructure providers — hosting, databases, and monitoring services that help us operate HumanInbox

6. Data retention

Email content is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored. Email metadata may be cached for up to 30 days to enable follow-up tracking. Account information is retained for the duration of your subscription and up to 90 days after cancellation. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

7. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure OAuth authentication, and access controls. We regularly review our security practices. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Revoke Gmail access at any time via your Google Account settings
  • Export your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities

9. Google API disclosure

HumanInbox's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We may use analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand how our website is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.

11. Children's privacy

HumanInbox is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of HumanInbox after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
